Admission-Spring 2010

BBA Admission Details

Eligibility: To apply for BBA program the candidate must satisfy any of the following conditions.

  • Minimum GPA 2.5 in both SSC & HSC separately.
  • Minimum GPA 2.0 in either SSC or HSC. But the combined GPA is not less than 6.0.
  • 5 subjects in 'O' Level and 2 Subjects in 'A' Level.

 

Tuition and other Fees:

  • Tuition Fee:
  • Tk. 4000 per credit.
  • Semester fee:
  • Tk. 5000 per semester
  • Admission Fee:
  • Tk. 10,000.
  • Admission Form:
  • Tk. 400
  • Transfer/Waiver fee:
  • Tk. 150 per credit

 

Scholarship/Financial Aid

100% waiver for: Admission Test Topper.
GPA 5 in SSC and GPA 4.8 in HSC (without 4th Subject)
2 A in 'A' Level.
50% waiver for: Siblings/ spouse (any one), and ward of Freedom Fighter.
40% waiver for:

SSC GPA 4.5 or above and HSC GPA 4.5 -4.79 (without 4th Subject).
1A and 1 B in 'A' Level

30% waiver for: SSC GPA 4- 4.49 and HSC GPA 4-4.49 (Without 4th Subject).
1 A and 1 C or 2B in 'A' Level.
20% waiver for: Below GPA 4.0 in both SSC and HSC / Qualifying candidates from 'A' Level

Conditions to maintain scholarship:

The student will enjoy waiver initially for first two semesters only. Subsequently, the following conditions will apply in each semester. A student must enroll for minimum 4 courses in a semester and s/he must maintain the following score in the subsequent semesters to enjoy the awarded scholarship. A student also may graduate to higher bracket of scholarship as he/she scores higher CGPA according to the following scheme.

           100% - CGPA 3.85
           50% - CGPA 3.50-3.84
           30% - CGPA 3.20-3.49
           20% - CGPA 2.00-3.19
           00% - Less than CGPA 2.00

* The Passing grade is CGPA 2.0


Waiver/transfer:

  • Students from English Medium Background may be waived from ENG 101. Students with Mathematics in ‘A’ Level may be waived from MAT 101.
  • Students transferred from other reputed Universities may be allowed to transfer their credits provided they did the course in their previous program with significant overlapping of contents and the minimum score was B-.
  • In case of transfer from Foreign Universities the case may be considered on case by case basis.
MBA Admission Details

Eligibility: To apply for MBA program the candidate must satisfy any of the following conditions.

  • Masters from any discipline.
  • Honors in any discipline with minimum 2nd class or CGPA 2.5 in every academic level.
  • 3 year Bachelor degree in any discipline with minimum 2nd class or CGPA 2.5 in every academic level.
  • 2 year Bachelor degree in any discipline with 1 year experience and minimum 2nd class or CGPA 2.5 in every academic level

Scholarship/Financial Aid

  • 100% waiver for Admission test topper.
  • 60% waiver for students having first class or CGPA 3.8 in Honors.
  • 50% waiver for sibling/ spouse (any one), ward of Freedom Fighter.
  • 40% waiver for all other categories.

Waiver/Transfer:

  • Students with BBA background from any reputed University may receive 100% waiver in foundation courses provided he/she scores at least B- grade in the relevant course.
  • Students with other background also may enjoy waiver of courses provided they studied the course in their Bachelor or Masters and got minimum 50% marks or Grade B- (in Letter grade system), provided the course was taught in English.
  • Students with Masters may apply for transfer of maximum 6 courses from the integration provided they did the courses at their Masters level in English and receives minimum 50% marks or Grade B- (in Letter grade system).
  • For waiver/transfer all courses must be 3 credit course or 100 marks course.
