Nestle HR Head At East Delta University

On May 19, 2011, Mr. Akhteruddin Mahmood Head of HR of Nestle Bangladesh Limited visited East Delta University (EDU) Campus at Agrabad, Chittagong and attended a Seminar on “Nestle Leadership Framework” as the Keynote Speaker.

During his presentation Mr. Akhteruddin Mahmood highlighted the salient features of the behaviors that matter to Nestle, which are used for recruitment, development and promotion and eventually may apply to everyone in the business. He strongly advised that the EDU Graduates or the prospective Management Trainees at different MNCs must keep in mind that, academic background, CGPA and grades of a qualified candidate matter only 10%, learnings from relationship matter 20% and leadership competency matters for the rest of 70% in order for a fresh graduate to succeed.

He strongly recommended EDU students to concentrate on extracurricular activities along with their core academics. He made sincere commitment to guiding and assisting EDU students in improving their professionalism required for their successful careers. Mr. Akhteruddin Mahmood was assisted by Mr. Ali Juned, Chittagong Area Manager of Nestle who assured EDU of his sincere cooperation whenever needed in the future.

The seminar was attended amongst others by EDU Director Mr. Sayeed Al Noman, Vice Chancellor Prof. M. Sekandar Khan, Dean of SOB Prof. Dr. M. Abul Hossain, Dr. Nurul Absar Nahid, faculties and students, and was conducted by Mr. A. Qaiyum Chowdhury, Associate Professor and Registrar (In-Charge) of EDU.
