A Seminar On HR Industry Held In East Delta University


On 4th April 2012 a seminar on “HR Executives, policies and Implications of HR Functions” was held in EDU campus where the keynote speaker, the Senior Vice President of Head of Planning & Analysis at BRAC Bank Limited presented, through slides, different aspects of human resources management including recruitment, employee strategy, selection, training, development, evaluation and others. He also said that human resource management is very crucial for any financial institution. The chief guest of the seminar, honorable Vice Chancellor of EDU, Professor M. Sikander Khan said that proper human resource management facilitates the motivation and skill enhancement among the employees. The associate Dean of faculties at EDU, Associate Prof. A. Qaiyum Chowdhury, in his speech of the president of the seminar, said that EDU aims at making the students of EDU into resourceful man power. A speech of welcome was given by the coordinator of M.B.A. at EDU Associate Professor Dr. Mir Md. Nurul Absar. Later the keynote speaker Mr. Shaiful Chowdhury was formally introduced before the audience through power point presentation by faculty member Mr. Pulak Barua and the keynote speaker was offered flower bouquet and a crest by Vice Chancellor of EDU, Professor M. Sikander Khan. The students of EDU: Ahsab, Jaheda, Mubin, Prion and Bushra participated in a role play. A vote of thanks was expressed by the faculty member Rashed al Karim. The program was anchored by Tasnia and Jobair. Among others EDU faculty Assistant Professor Rafia Akter, Rashed al Karim, Tohfatunnessa, Asaduzzaman, Pulak Barua, Ishtiak Aziz Jahed, Registrar in Charge Mr. Khalilur Rahman, Deputy Registrar Mr. Sajal Barua  and Public Relation Officer Romel Raihan were present in the seminar.
