OBJECTIVE AND PHILOSOPHY
The CSE Program of East Delta University offers standard curricula that cover contemporary areas of computational science as well as the areas that have traditionally formed the core of the discipline. The degree is intended to prepare students for successful careers in a global economy. This is achieved by providing students with sound domain knowledge, in-depth research understanding, inculcating leadership attributes, and developing soft skills and experiences needed to meet the challenges and opportunities of a global market characterized by complexity, uncertainty, and diversity. Specifically, the CSE Program strives to achieve the following learning outcome:
Domain Knowledge: The Program is designed to provide the fundamental concepts and theory of computational science practices and specialized study in the specific discipline.
Research Understanding: The Program will train students with the basics of social and business research and relevant competencies.
Critical Thinking Ability: The Program is designed to inculcate critical thinking ability to analyze information and to devise managerial strategies.
Leadership Skills: The Program is intended to explore the ever-changing art of leadership through innovation, sustainability, social & cultural changes, and globalization.
Global Citizenship: The Program is designed to make the graduates global citizens with awareness and commitment to social justice and sustainability.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
The curriculum is designed on the basis of the following seven major sections:

APPLICATION REQUIREMENT
SSC & HSC
S.S.C & H.S.C/equivalent Public Examination with a total GPA of 5.00 or above with at least 2.50 in each examination.
S.S.C & H.S.C/equivalent Public Examination with a total GPA of 6.00 or above, if the GPA in any of the examinations is less than 2.50 but not less than 2.00
Must have Mathematics and Physics with no less than grade 'C'
O LEVELS/ A LEVELS
5 subjects in O-Level and 2 subjects in A-Level with a total minimum of 26.5 points.
Students who have passed GCE A-Level or the American High School Examination or the International Baccalaureate Examinations are also eligible for admission. The University may take other systems into consideration.
Must have Mathematics and Physics with no less than grade 'C'
SCHOLARSHIPS & FINANCIAL AIDS
BOARD OF TRUSTEES-CHAIRMAN’S DISTINGUISHED SCHOLARSHIP [DURING ADMISSION]
This scholarship scheme aims to reward those meritorious students who have obtained a Golden GPA of 5.00 in both SSC & HSC or a total of 32 points (Not lower than B grade/points in an individual course) in O-Levels & A-Levels.
Scholarship Value: BDT 200,000/- (to be adjusted with the tuition fees)
Applicable to: New Intakes
Number of Scholarships: 05 (maximum)
Applicable Requirement for the Continuation of the Scholarship:
The scholarship will automatically be applied for the first 3 enrolled semesters regardless of the CGPA score. Be noted that, to continue this scholarship a student must maintain a CGPA of 3.5 or above throughout his/her study at EDU.
To continue the scholarship student has to take 12 credits minimum every semester.
If a student fails to maintain a CGPA of 3.5, automatically BoT Grant will be awarded till he/she managed to score a CGPA of 3.5 or above.
BoT GRANT [DURING ADMISSION]
This scholarship scheme aims to reward those meritorious students who have scored a total GPA of 9.5 or above in SSC & HSC or a total of 30 points in O-Levels & A-Levels (not lower than C grades/points in an individual course).
Scholarship Value: BDT 100,000/- (to be adjusted with the tuition fees)

Number of Scholarships: All Deserving Student (s)
Applicable Requirement for the Continuation of the Scholarship:
The scholarship will automatically be applied for the first 3 enrolled semesters regardless of the CGPA score. Be noted that, to continue this scholarship a student must maintain a CGPA of 3.0 or above throughout his/her study at EDU.
To continue the scholarship student has to take 12 credits minimum every semester.
If a student fails to maintain a CGPA of 3.0, automatically BoT Grant will remain cancelled till he/she managed to score a CGPA of 3.0 or above.
EDU WOMEN EMPOWERMENT AND LEADERSHIP FUND [DURING ADMISSION]
Scheme 1: EDU Young Leaders Scholarship for Women (for Bangladeshi female students only)
Scheme 2: EDU Global Leadership Scholarship for Women (for non-Bangladeshi female students only)
Scholarship Value: 100% of admission fee, tuition fee and semester fee

MERIT CUM NEED-BASED FINANCIAL SUPPORT
Up to 100% tuition waiver is offered to a student who has excellent academic records in SSC, HSC and EDU. Students apply for this Financial Support within a date prescribed by the respective office in a pre-set application form. Please click here to access all service request forms.
Applicable to: Existing students
Scholarship Terms:
Students who have completed three (3) semesters and completed a minimum of 24 credits at EDU may apply for this Financial Support.
Upon fulfilment of the required documents, the application will be reviewed by a Financial Support Committee to confirm the eligibility of the applicant.
Up to 100% financial support on tuition fees is offered to an applicant who has a CGPA of 3.85 or above.*
Up to 50% financial support on tuition fees is offered to an applicant who has a CGPA of 3.50-3.84.*
*Subject to the approval of the Financial Support Committee.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT (SPECIAL CASE: FOR SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF FREEDOM FIGHTER & STUDENTS FROM UNDERDEVELOPED AREAS)
Up to 100% tuition waiver will be granted to 6% of the total number of existing students of East Delta University on a first-come-first-served basis. 3% of the quota is reserved for sons & daughters of freedom fighters and the other 3% is for the students coming from underdeveloped areas. To qualify for this Financial Support students must provide valid documents. (Other conditions may also apply, for more details, contact Admissions Office).
For the continuation of the Financial Support, existing students must:
Enrol 12 credits in the semester on which the eligibility is verified.
Maintain CGPA of 2.50 or above for sons & daughters of freedom fighters & CGPA of 3.00 for the students coming from underdeveloped areas.

This award aims to reward those meritorious students who have obtained
a total GPA of 4 out of 4 in 3 consecutive semesters.

A student must enrol 12 credits in the semesters on which the award eligibility is measured
BOARD OF TRUSTEES-CHAIRMAN’S MERIT AWARD
This award aims to reward those meritorious students who have obtained
a total GPA of 3.85 out of 4 in 3 consecutive semesters.

Value: BDT3,000/-

BOARD OF TRUSTEES-CHAIRMAN’S STUDENT OF THE YEAR AWARD
In recognition of students academic performance, contribution towards community and achievements in extracurricular activities the candidates for this awards will be selected.

Selection Criteria:
Students must apply by highlighting the following criteria.
Applicants must earn a minimum of 36 credits & must have 24 credits due to meet graduation requirements
CGPA>=3.80
Personal Statement (The purpose of the Personal Statement is to give those reviewing applications an opportunity to learn more about the student, and his/her educational goals and why s/he thinks s/he deserves this award while reflecting on criteria 4,6,7 and 8)
Achievements in extra and co-curricular activities with EDU affiliations
Write-up on selected/given topics (i.e. 1. Critical Evaluation of EDU for the year 2020 and your involvement, 2. Digital transformation of EDU)
Contribution towards the community (preferably with proof)
Contribution towards the digital platform
Commitment towards and fulfilment of EDU Graduate Attributes
Has no past disciplinary records
ZARIN ZAHARA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP BY DR MOHIBUL KABIR
Scholarships will be available for Undergraduate students who are holding the status of Sophomore– (26-55 semester hours of credits), Junior– (56-85 semester hours of credits) and Senior– (86 or more semester hours of credits). A student must be enrolled full time (12 credits or more) each semester to apply for the scholarship. The Scholarship will be provided from the Fall semester, 2019 until the Spring semester, 2022.

Value: BDT40,000/- ( BDT 5,000/- each)
